A crossroad is a crucial point because it's a place where two or more roads intersect.  It's at a crossroad that you have to choose which road to follow.  The Cross serves as the crossroads of human history and, more importantly, it serves as the crossroads of your history.  Everything changes at the foot of the Cross.  Which road will you follow?
